This little sewing owl is a freestanding pincushion measuring 6.5 inches tall.  The same pattern is used to make a traditional owl and also a vintage owl using old embroideries and linens.  The back of the owl has a place for a thimble pocket and a place to attach a little pair of embroidery scissors.  A great scrap project.  Layout instructions given for the vintage linens.
